CHRISTMAS BINGO WOW!

Members of the Wednesday evening Bingo Club had a fantastic evening on the 19th of December. A Raffle was held at which The Chequers Pub donated a large Turkey, two bottles of drink, a large cracker plus a fantastic Hamper. The Memorial Hall Committee also donated 50 prizes to the raffle. There were around 80 people attending. A big thank you to the Chequers Pub for making the evening special and to Julie who organised the refreshments together with the Bingo organising team.

SECURITY CAMERAS & ALARM SYSTEM COMING TO HALL

The Memorial Hall Committee at a recent meeting have agreed to a Security Camera System & an Alarm to be fitted to the Hall.

CENTENARY OF WWI HELD IN THE MEMORIAL HALL

The Heritage Society staged a presentation in the Hall on Sunday 11th of November. Two Local schools took part, Hawthorne Park and Tithe Farm. The picture shows the Heritage Society Stand with Roger Turner, The Town Mayor Cllr Ken Wattingham and David Hill the Chairman of the Society. A huge number of people attended.

CAR PARK

The Memorial Hall Committee are working hard to come up with the best way forward in regard to water drainage and the surfacing of the car park. The Committee have found it difficult to get a real solution from the experts . A lot of work is going on behind the scenes.
